On April 8, 2021, the Housing Production Plan Sub-Committee and the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) successfully hosted an online community workshop to discuss the future of housing in Boylston. Nearly 40 residents attended the session and engaged in small group discussions. CMRPC staff made a presentation on Housing Production Plans and Chapter 40B, current population and housing data for Boylston, and the options that the town can pursue to create a more diverse and affordable housing stock that fits with the community’s character.
Thank you to all that were able to attend and participate – this important plan could not be created without you! The HPP Sub-committee and CMRPC will now utilize this data – and the input from the 447 residents who participated in the housing survey this winter – to write a plan that will be submitted to the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) this summer.
